Can you have the occasional treat? That depends. For some people, certain foods can hijack the brain's reward center and leave them craving for more. However, it is still possible to cut the cravings!
I believe that certain foods can be addictive which make you crave them more. There are plenty of studies on this subject from qualified scientists and doctors that are worth investigating if you find the urge to do so. Read about one of the scientific backings here.
Here are the top 10 most addicting foods...
- Ice Cream
- French Fries
- Non-diet soda
We live in a society that is full of processed artificial junk food which is considered the norm. There is so much information at out fingertips that we intuitively do know what we need to do to become healthy. So, why are we still trying to find the quick fix, stuck on yo-yo dieting, or just can't seem to cut the cravings?
Obviously, we cannot rely on the food companies to create processed food that removes the addictive food additives. Where's the profit in that?
Ask yourself these questions:
- How can I stop the cravings?
- Which cravings are unhealthy for my unique body?
- Do I WANT to stop the cravings?
- Why am I craving this?
- Why do we give our children the very same food that we crave?
- Will our children want to stop the unhealthy cravings through quick fixes and yo-yo dieting when they grow up?
- Will our children stop the cycle of making poor choices that create the same diseases that have been in their family for generations?
- Do you want to stop the cycle?
Just imagine finally feeling good again! Not feeling so bloated, fatigued, or bothered with headaches.
Through my personal journey, I've been able to cut the chemicals, toss the toxins, and create new healthier cravings. I'm far from perfect, but I don't crave as much of the processed artificial junk food that I once did.
I still struggle with feeding my child healthy food. He's 7 and wants what everyone else has. I will often give him a healthier version of what everyone else has when I can, but it's far from being anywhere near perfect.
Nobody is perfect and it does take small steps to cut the cravings, but it's possible with support and guidance!
